This table has a sturdy construction: steel legs and frame, beautiful wood-like laminate top. I actually think it s more beautiful in person than the pictures suggested It was packaged carefully in styrofoam and plastic especially around the corners. There was no damage whatsoever during transit and it looks immaculate. It was easy to assemble: took 10 minutes. It is the perfect height as a desk for both me and my spouse despite a height difference of half a foot between us. There is plenty of room for the computer, notepad, something to drink, and reading material. Oh, and a cat too, of course It s absolutely perfect
