This is a great deskI am one of the first reviewers, so I'll try to be thorough. Overall the desk is well made with durable feeling finishing on the wooden boards. The metal is sturdy enough. I don't notice any desk wobble or any looseness to it. Mine did not have any blemishes on any boards and fit together well. The instructions were big and easy to understand. It emphasized tightening order to prevent the desk from coming out unlevel. I still had a small fitment issue in one corner where it doesn't quite fit perfectly. I'm probably just OCD about that though. I suspect any desk you buy will have the same amount of fitment issues. Overall, I was very impressed that none of the boards were scratched. This is one of the few times I've put a piece of furniture together that has not had obvious scratches on at least one board
